Alqaeda...I think he could of done more. Nato cut off Russia til they withdrawl, and Nato needs to stand firm against Russia. I have no idea why Russia attacked them in the first place...I never did find out why they attacked Georgia. |

Ya know what else? Earlier on a certain USMer said we were already a bit strung out fighting in the Middle East and, as more conservative leaning as I am, I think she's kinda right, now. To invade Pakistan who knows what would happen? It'd be a goldmine for us, it sorta is now, for counter-terrorism, but I think that Pakistan will manage with the fighting at least. Sadly, it's not gonna be nearly as good since Musharraf has left office. It could have been better yeah, but he's the one who had to restrict so much in order to keep so many safe. And these citizens whom he wanted kept safe hate America, hate himself. As much as I think it should be outlawed, they get their freedom of expression to be a fool while the military and the politicians they so degrade are out there fighting for them...this sounds like Vietnam kinda... |

The fact that most insurgent and Taliban attacks come from Pakistan makes one wonder how great an Ally. |

Because, Georgia decided to retake South Ossetia. So the Russians pulled a George Bush Sr. and went to the aid of them, from the big bully next door. It just so happens that GWB likes Georgia (I think, he thinks it’s our Georgia) so he can try to put missiles up the Kremlins nose. well almost 8 years, there is noone to "diss" but him, he's the run running the show, and he has done alot of what his daddy did. 'Attacking Iraq', and finishing his daddy's business. Iraq was actually a good buffer against Iran. Iran was terrified of Saddam. |

It was a joke calm down. And by the way I like that Sr. protected Kuwait from the bigger and more powerful Iraq. I just don't see how Jr. can get upset about this. |

All I have to say is, we really shouldn't mess with Russia...as sneaky as they are, they are a force to be reckoned with in the future, and let's also note because of Siberia, Russia has surpassed Saudi Arabia as the world's leading producer of Oil. They are gaining muscle in the International arena. I do really think we should walk on eggshells around Russia. I don't care if we are a world super power or not...Putin is a shady character, and I really don't want to go into another Cold War...one possibly worse than the first. |

The fact that we're in Afghanistan and Iraq alone where most of the action plays is what keeps al-Qaeda at bay. Combine that with the Pakistan's security forces when they actually try to go after Taliban and al-Qaeda insurgents, and you've got the world's most powerful terrorist organization at bay regardless. As long as Osama bin Laden and his pansy excuse for courageous religious leaders with him are on the run and can only make videos, plot, and run just long enough indicates to me we have much of the upper hand. |

The fact is that as long as we're over there, al-Qaeda has a one in a million chance of ever again plotting something around the lines of or as destructive as 9/11. Those kinds of attacks take time to draw out and al-Qaeda runs out of that real shortly as they're on the run. Whether these filth are really 'martys' or not it's evident our presence is enough to scare them away. A suicide bombing in a coffee shop might take 5 minutes to plot. |
