Monday, 8/18/2008...one of the Middle East, perhaps even one of America's darkest days...

Hey everyone. Yesterday is a sad day in the Middle East. Russia claims they're pulling out of Georgia, even though they're heading the other way to continue thrashing the nation and maybe even go beyond that...President Pervez Musharraf has resigned from leading Pakistan now and I'm sad because he has actually been a key U.S. Ally in The War On Terror and I really, really almost wanna cry at seeing him leave, his departures from the lead. This man will be well remembered later on, I know it, by Heaven. Violence has already flared up again after he resigned. He wasn't perfect but he's one of a kind and aside from Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, one of the best allies we've had in a war against delusional fanatics. Today, later at some point, I would like you to pray for what I have covered on hear, the people it surrounds and what prices they've had to pay for doing their countries a favor or if the country were unjustly attacked. I will also be praying for a close friend's mom and this some time myself. Thank you.

Date: 8/19/2008 3:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 64498    This is not a good sign at all we def need to pray on this one Thanks for the post Hero!
Date: 8/19/2008 4:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    Musharraf could of done more on the war on terror. He wont allow us troops into his country to out route Al-AlZahawri and Bin Laden, and top Al-
Date: 8/19/2008 4:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    Alqaeda...I think he could of done more. Nato cut off Russia til they withdrawl, and Nato needs to stand firm against Russia. I have no idea why Russia attacked them in the first place...I never did find out why they attacked Georgia.
Date: 8/19/2008 7:40:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    Ya know what else? Earlier on a certain USMer said we were already a bit strung out fighting in the Middle East and, as more conservative leaning as I am, I think she's kinda right, now. To invade Pakistan who knows what would happen? It'd be a goldmine for us, it sorta is now, for counter-terrorism, but I think that Pakistan will manage with the fighting at least. Sadly, it's not gonna be nearly as good since Musharraf has left office. It could have been better yeah, but he's the one who had to restrict so much in order to keep so many safe. And these citizens whom he wanted kept safe hate America, hate himself. As much as I think it should be outlawed, they get their freedom of expression to be a fool while the military and the politicians they so degrade are out there fighting for them...this sounds like Vietnam kinda...
Date: 8/19/2008 11:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 21203    Too much tension in this World - sad :(
Date: 8/20/2008 10:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    The fact that most insurgent and Taliban attacks come from Pakistan makes one wonder how great an Ally.
Date: 8/20/2008 11:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 63366    Because, Georgia decided to retake South Ossetia. So the Russians pulled a George Bush Sr. and went to the aid of them, from the big bully next door. It just so happens that GWB likes Georgia (I think, he thinks it’s our Georgia) so he can try to put missiles up the Kremlins nose. Date: 8/20/2008 12:51:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    Don't diss President Bush, k? After around 6 years of it gets rather old...
Date: 8/20/2008 4:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    well he has been president for 6 years, and he has had a horrible track record..do you realize Iraq Government is making us leave in June 2009 of all troops...
Date: 8/20/2008 4:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 63026    well almost 8 years, there is noone to "diss" but him, he's the run running the show, and he has done alot of what his daddy did. 'Attacking Iraq', and finishing his daddy's business. Iraq was actually a good buffer against Iran. Iran was terrified of Saddam.
Date: 8/20/2008 6:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 63366    It was a joke calm down. And by the way I like that Sr. protected Kuwait from the bigger and more powerful Iraq. I just don't see how Jr. can get upset about this.
Date: 8/20/2008 8:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 63961    All I have to say is, we really shouldn't mess with Russia...as sneaky as they are, they are a force to be reckoned with in the future, and let's also note because of Siberia, Russia has surpassed Saudi Arabia as the world's leading producer of Oil. They are gaining muscle in the International arena. I do really think we should walk on eggshells around Russia. I don't care if we are a world super power or not...Putin is a shady character, and I really don't want to go into another Cold War...one possibly worse than the first.
Date: 8/21/2008 12:06:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    The fact that we're in Afghanistan and Iraq alone where most of the action plays is what keeps al-Qaeda at bay. Combine that with the Pakistan's security forces when they actually try to go after Taliban and al-Qaeda insurgents, and you've got the world's most powerful terrorist organization at bay regardless. As long as Osama bin Laden and his pansy excuse for courageous religious leaders with him are on the run and can only make videos, plot, and run just long enough indicates to me we have much of the upper hand.
Date: 8/21/2008 12:09:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    The fact is that as long as we're over there, al-Qaeda has a one in a million chance of ever again plotting something around the lines of or as destructive as 9/11. Those kinds of attacks take time to draw out and al-Qaeda runs out of that real shortly as they're on the run. Whether these filth are really 'martys' or not it's evident our presence is enough to scare them away. A suicide bombing in a coffee shop might take 5 minutes to plot.
Date: 8/21/2008 5:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 12072    "I think, he thinks it’s our Georgia" LMAO!!
Date: 8/21/2008 8:41:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    Yeha, Rebekah, join the club of liberals.
Date: 8/24/2008 1:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 12072    did that a lonnnngg time ago TUH. But liberal or not, it's still funny :)
Date: 8/24/2008 7:38:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    I don't care Rebekah, I just know I appreciate America.:)
Date: 8/24/2008 7:39:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    No it's not exactly funny and I'm not that big a fan of Bush myself. He'll be well remembered with bin Laden and bin Biden in office.
Date: 8/25/2008 3:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 12072    so appreciating America equates loving Bush? In that case, I guess I don't.
